Pop Culture League Challenge: Toony Terrors!

 

This weeks challenge from the Pop Culture League over at Cool and Collected :

My top 10 picks for character's who need to be made into Toony Terrors from Neca!

So we will start this off at last but not least 

10: The Creeper from Jeepers Creepers.

 

Sure, I haven't seen Jeepers Creepers reborn or Jeepers Creepers 3 yet but I know for a fact I love the first 2 movies and the Creeper is a underutilized denizen of the movie monsters pantheon . We could get his normal trenchcoated version and an alternate with the wings spread out .

9: Leprechaun from the movie franchise of the same name .

Short in stature big on violence ! So far the toony bunch has Chucky and the Bride of Chucky as the smaller figures and I would love the see Leprechaun join the ranks representing the smaller figure side!

8: The Candyman . 

I would honestly take either version both are great movies in my book and we currently have no African American figures in the line and I think Mr Candyman would made the perfect character for the line.

7: Kinski from the Clive Barker classic NightBreed .

When I think of Nightbreed I think of old Moonman Kinski! True he was just a supporting character but in my mind he is truly a memorable design and as far as I know has never been an action figure!

6: The Crypt Keeper from Tales Crypt.

Shocking he hasn't made it into the line yet! The old Crypt Keeper is a no brainer in my book.

5: Jordy Verrill From the Creepshow 1 segment "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill" 

So I'm a HUGE Stephen King fan also a huge fan of swamp monsters .Hey Neca make the figure and take my money!!   and this one leads me right into nuber 4..

4: Stephen King.

The toony line has been good to and shown a good deal of love to the late night Horror movie hosts so how about some for the people who dream up these unforgettable characters? Mr. King is the perfect jumping off point .

3: Edgar Allan Poe 

Much like Stephen King we have much in the horror realms to thank Mr. Poe for. Horror would not be what it is today without his early foundations in horror writing. 

2 Pumpkinhead from the movie of the same name.

Pumpkinhead could be the first larger figure in the line and would fit right in!

1: IT'S A TIE !! Troll from the movie Troll and Critters from the movie critters !

Sure neither one of these movies (both from 1986) are box office blockbusters but my childhood would not have been the same without them. I can see the Troll figure with the bouncy ball like on the cover of the vhs (that I still own to this day) and a multipack for the critters would be perfect!

Thats my list! It's been literally years since the last time I did one of these and it was nice to revisit . This would be the spot where I link to 2 other posts from fellow bloggers in the league but there hasn't been a League of Extraordinary Bloggers in a very long time and there are very few of us golden age comic book heroes still kicking around the blogverse these days ( even fewer members of the Dorkhoard!) but it was nice to do it again ...at least this once.
