King Zor was made by Ideal in 1962
He is a lot bigger in real life than he appears to be in these pictures , the box he came in alone is like 3 feet long
This is another one of those early 60's toys that I desperately want but will more than likely never have.
It must have been so easy to be an ad copywriter in the 60s. All you had to do was insert exclamation points after every selling point. King Zor! He's coming! Get Ready! The Fighting Dinosaur! Darts! Fire! Look Out!
ReplyDelete50's science fiction ads where pretty exclamation point heavy as well. I was just looking at The thing that came alive! The Magnetic Monster! lol
DeleteSuch a wonderful and cool toy! I want one now too.
ReplyDeleteHe is very cool:) I think his colors and design make him really displayable with lots of other toy lines .The good thing is he isn't priced so high that he is completely unobtainable like say Big Loo (the bane of my existence)
DeleteHOLY COW!
ReplyDeleteI want one!
I really want one as well :)
DeleteHi, I have a working king zor, including box, papers, gun, darts. no cracks. how much would i be lookin at if i were to sell it?
ReplyDeleteDepending on the condition of the box you are looking at anywhere from $900.00 to 1200.00 , But it really depends on who looking for one when you put it up for sale. One sold recently in a mint condition sealed box for $1800.00.
Deletewow, cool thank you, i might think about putting it up for sale here soon
DeleteNo problem! Wish I could buy it myself but Im more in the market for one missing everything and not working ( around $50.00) but good luck it should be an easy sell.
