Friday double feature

Oddball figure Friday was starting to fizzle so I thought I would change things up a bit.
Oddball figure Friday : Todays oddballs are these things
These things are just frighting.I had these Bert and Ernie as cake toppers without the strange walking legs when I was very young. Somewhere along the line they decided that they had the technology and they could rebuild them and this is what you get........THE STUFF OF NIGHTMARES!

And now introducing Five buck film Friday.I will showcase a movie that I got from the five dollar bin at Walmart.Hopefully this will raise the Friday page views back up from 3 to something closer to what it was the first few weeks.

Todays Five buck film Friday pick is Super
This was a pretty good movie for being a knock off of Kick Ass.It has Rainn Wilson  (The Office, Last Mimzy) as a disgruntled man who decides to become a super hero in the most violent way possible. This movie is a little dark and if you are not a fan of gory violence or if you plan on watching this with a kid then you might want to skip this one. With out giving away to much I will say that the films near climax has a very disturbing and bloody violent scene that in all honesty I could really have done without.
All in all I rate this movie   3 out of 5 mogs

  2. I thought Super was awesome, and could tell from the brain scene in the beginning. Was definitely pretty f'd up, though; not for the squeamish.

    1. It was a pretty good movie just 2 scenes kinda threw me off a little. In the same line as this film was Defendor with Woody Harrelson that I thought was just as good but a lot less gory.

  3. I had those Ernie and Bert - I believe they were finger puppets. I have to assume that the legs were from some other company, either sold with a generic finger puppet or sold as a finger puppet add-on (sounds weird I know but it was the seventies!

    1. I had some that were exactly the same as these but without hair and made of very hard plastic that came from a birthday cake probably in 1977.Maybe Im missing out on this whole forgotten finger puppet fad of the late 70's lol
