This is not the Creature you are looking for and my impending absence.

This is Mcfarlane's Monsters Sea Creature.
My internet connection has been on and off for the last few days and it doesn't seem to be getting any better so I believe I will be taking some time off after this post. Along with my internet connection issues I have also been sick for a couple of days, was ripped off in a trade with somebody who I really thought I could trust ( I was wrong) , and Im just feeling a little blog burnout. Im sure nobody will even really notice my absence seeing that these days I have on average six people looking at my blog. I will still be around just not posting anything for a few day.

  1. Cool toy! I have a small collection of green scaly creatures.. Godzillas, Creature from the Black Lagoons, Swamp Thing, Man Thing, etc etc. I'll have to see if I can squeeze this guy onto the shelf. Sucks about your trade - don't let it destroy your faith in internet geekery though. Feel better and enjoy your hiatus.

    1. Im a sucker for green swamp monsters! This guy has an issue with standing but he looks a lot better in person then I was able to capture in pictures. Im not loosing my faith in the geek community be I for sure will be more careful about who I send stuff to in the future, I should have known better then to trust anybody on 4chan.

  2. It sucks when no one comments on one's blog. It can get VERY frustrating. But hey I am also uplifted by 18,000 people looking at my blog when the cafe was closed for 3 days. Don't get burned out.

    1. I can understand real life getting in the way of commenting and such and I dont expect people to go out of there way I also know that sometimes blogger just doesn't want to post comments ( Iv been having an issue with it myself but it could be my my 16 year old computer).I have so many blogs on my list if I miss a day commenting there is almost no way to catch up so any technical difficulty really messes things up.

    1. Yeah it does suck but thats the risk you have to take I guess . I just hate that I put off sending things to other people to send the stuff to that guy sooner because I can really only afford to mail one or two packages a month.I just wish it hadn't been my Spiderhulk but I do think taking a break will help the doldrum Iv been in.

  4. I've been bad about commenting on the blogs I read recently. It's funny, but as I comment less, I see less people commenting on my blog. There is a small core of us bloggers actively posting on each others stuff. I "love" it when a new blogger starts commenting a lot and then as soon as I add them to my blog roll I never hear from them again.

    1. My blog list is filled with blogs that haven't had a post in years , seems like its a dying art.I just get so behind with the comments that I cant catch up and a good half the time the reading list doesn't load so Ill miss a post and see it days or weeks after the fact and at that point it feels weird to comment on it because its already an old post.

  6. Shame to hear about you loosing out on the trade man that sucks, a real kick to trust in general. I enjoy your blog and I should really make a habit of commenting here more often. Enjoy the break and get your batteries recharged.

    1. Its always a risk but this is only the second time its ever happened to me ,both times from a deal made on 4chan. I dont seem to learn from my mistakes.its ok I do not hold not commenting against anybody , I know Im just as bad about reading, looking at pictures then just going to the next thing,I understand it completely.I just remember how it was a few years ago when I was getting 200 or 300 views per post per day but I know blogs have really slowed down for everybody with most people moving to other outlets online.

  7. Cool figure, I like the little details!

Sorry to hear your were stiffed on a trade. that's not right! That's never happened to me and I hope it never does. I'll send you some stuff I have set aside. No pressure to send things you had set aside for me right away, just send them when you can.

    1. He is covered in little things to look at , he almost has to much detail.Yeah getting ripped off sucks, I make it completely clear to everybody I deal with that I live on a very low fixed income so I dont know how it makes him feel good about himself to steal from me. I even threw in a bunch of extra stuff.I look forward to seeing what you pulled aside for me.

    1. Its pretty neat if you dont mind the fact that it doesn't look anything like the creature from the black lagoon.Yeah its a crappy thing to do. Getting ripped off on Ebay is one thing because paypal will refund your money but when you send somebody a box of stuff then they start ignoring your emails there really isnt anything to be done.

  10. That kind of pisses me off Brother. If this person ever surfaces on Google plus or Blogger please give us a shout via E-Mail.Speaking of Google Plus,I find that It's intruding somewhat on the Blogosphere.I love Toy Swamp and even started up my own Gplus page but that hasn't really resulted In more Blog views or comments. In fact It may be taking away from it IMO because once someone comments or 1 ups your G Plus post, they may not feel the need to do the same on your blog.It can get kind of maddening,I know how you feel.I think Blogging might be on it's last leg because there's just so many of them to read and look at.I also don't pick up many items often so I find myself having to post about things I've already posted about in the past and that blows sometimes too lol.Do some gaming, drawing, reading etc. Anyways, get better bro and remember never to sweat the small stuff ;)

    1. Its a pretty crappy thing to do for a couple hand fulls of loose toys. I haven't seen the guy on Google+ but in truth dont know what he looks like or even if the name I sent the stuff to is his real name unfortunately.Yeah ,Toy swamp isnt working out the way I planned, seems like people joined then turned the community notifications off so they dont see when a new post goes up. I had thought that Toy swamp could have been a safe place for people who enjoy trading to post what they have and what they want all in a centralize location like one giant market place free of the fee's that ebay has. Seems like most of the really good trading is taking place via Youtube but Youtube hardly works on my computer and I just generally dont like using it. I know what you mean, I dont really get new things so I cant compete blog wise with people who can go out and buy 15 of the newest figures on the market each week and people seem to only want to look at the newest stuff over and over again ( Im so tired of seeing the same guardians of the galaxy figures) so my old stuff just isnt going to bring in the views. I have been playing a few games the past couple of days mostly Dracula II (Castlevania II) on the Famicom Disk System. Its a pretty infuriating game lol

  11. Interesting figure! Are the sea creatures the same size as the McFarlane dragons?

I hope your time off from blogging is relaxing (and brings you back!). Shame about the trade gone wrong as well - that's such a miserable thing to have happen.

    1. Thats a good question, I never bought any of the dragons so Im not really sure. Thanks, just a short break and maybe it will stop feeling like work and get back to being enjoyable.Yeah , you just cant tell who to trust anymore, its so easy for people to scam other online that you really almost cant outright trust anybody.

  12. It's a damn shame that your trade went bad. I'm thinking up some ways to get revenge, but so far I can't come up with anything legal.

I'm guilty of not upvoting stuff on Google +, but it's mainly because I never use the site. It's just so damn clunky and hard on the eyes, that I just tend to avoid looking at it.

When blogging starts feeling too much like work, it's definitely time to take a break. Sit back, relax and read a bit, then come back when it's time to scratch the writing itch again.
