Rolling with the homies.

This is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Foot Cruiser.

On a completely unrelated subject, I have started to be interested in the Marvel Universe figures and I'm curious what you guys think. What would you guys say are the high and low points in the line? What are considered the must haves, and which are not worth having? Any recommendations on excellent figures? I know there is a lot about them online, but I want to hear what you guys, the trusted inner circle, think. I've found it difficult to find a complete check list with pictures, so I'm not even really sure who all they have made. So far my want list for the Universe figures is any female character, Moon Knight, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel. Any guidance is appreciated.

    1. Its one of my favorite vehicles to the line.Im pretty sure mine is complete, I know the antennas aren't on it in the picture but I do have them somewhere. I noticed that the chrome on the bumpers is getting splotchy for some reason but it still looks pretty good.

  3. The problem I have with MU figures lies in the variations.I came late to the party so by the time I was ready to pick up a classic Thor ,the newer versions of Thor were the only ones available.I found myself buying versions of characters not because I liked them but because i needed a place holder. Most of the classic versions were released years ago so you may find yourself literally paying for that as you backtrack.Wonderman is one of the more expensive figures online along with Moonknight, classic Thor,Dr.Doom,Storm and Nightcrawler.Newer versions of characters tend to be easier to find and less expensive but even those get the price hike on ebay.

    1. Yeah , I am about as late to the party as you can get i guess. Im finding the array of lines and sublines a confusing mess to navigate. good to know that one of the main guys on my list is a high priced figure :/ Luckily or maybe unluckily I do not / can not shop online so Im going to try to find some of them on the cheap at one of the local toy/comic book stores or try to get them in trade. Luckily Thor was one of the few that I ended up getting long ago but I think I have lost his hammer.

    2. If I get another Black Panther ill give you first dibs on the one i have now.TRU has been known to have alot of MU figures too.For our sake Hasbro will decide to re release some of the classic versions, that way they can be had for retail. There are a couple classics that might still be lingering on the pegs like Hercules and the recently released Black Knight.

    3. Black Knight would be interesting to have but Im not a big fan of Hercules. I havent seen Universe figures in any store since I started taking an interest in them other then the classic guardians of the galaxy box set thats on clearance at walmart.I was reading that Walgreens might have them but I havent checked. I might try to put together a loose Defenders team seeing that a Hellcat will be releasing soon.

  4. Love that Cruiser! And Black Lagoon Leo still eludes me - he's the only Universal Monster Ninja Turtle I have yet to obtain!

As for MU, I like the bulkier characters, like Red Hulk, Abomination, A-Bomb etc. I think World War Hulk is one of the all time best, because a barbarian Hulk with weapons and armor is pretty badass no matter who you are. First Appearance Wolverine is pretty great too.

    1. I think that I have another one of the Creature Leo..maybe. Oh yeah red hulk is also on my list and I just looked up A-Bomb and he looks awesome to! and I just now discovered they made cloak and dagger....This want list is quickly growing out of control. Maybe they will make Power pack!

  5. The cruiser is just amazing, but overshadowed by the Leo Creature figure. Man oh Man this figure! I'm an avid Gillman collector and to pair that with TMNT is just awesome.

To address your question about the MU figure, that's ah little out of my realm. But my go to site for listing and stats is figurerealm.com .....so maybe that can help. They have a pretty comprehensive listing with photos for each figure. Also they detail the accessories and vehicles. Hope this helps.

    1. I am also a Creature collector! He is my favorite of the Universal monsters. I do use figurerealm a lot but there marvel Universe seems to be incredibly incomplete after looking around other places. Its crazy for me to have such a difficult time sorting this line out, Normally I know all there to know about a toy line but this one is a huge blind spot for me.

  6. Awesome Turtles and sweet ride! I never owned many toys from the original TMNT line and I didn't even know about the Foot Cruiser. My childhood toys were a big mish-mash of toy lines. I had an Apocalypse figure that was one of our main baddies in my brother and my toyverse. I have never really been into traditional super heroes, usualy perfering zany and quirky super heroes such as The Aquabats and The Tick. I have always loved X-men though, so if I were you I would start with the classic X-Men figures from the 90's, Wolverine being a must have, along with plenty of female protagonists such as Storm, Jean Grey, and Rogue. Brood was another awesome toy from that line that I wish I still had.

    1. Shortly after posting I realized you meant The Marvel Universe toy line itself, not just figures from the Marvel Universe. My bad, I haven't purchased a new superhero toy like, ever, so I have no idea, sorry.

    2. A lot of the TMNT vehicles seemed to fly under the radar to a lot of kids for some reason. For the 90's Toybiz Marvel figure I think I have everything they made and in some cases I have 7 or 8 copy's of some figures. I can definitely help you out with a brood.

    3. Wow, you'd help me out with a Brood figure!? Thank you so much, you're awesome! I will definitely return the favor! I know you search for female figures and green figures. Is there anything else in particular you are searching for?

And on the subject of toy vehicles, it's a real shame I didn't know about that Foot Cruiser as a kid, I would have loved it! 3 vehicles from my childhood stand out in my mind, The Bash 'N Bomber Crash Car, The Toad Croaker, and The Skull Tank (which I didn't even know was a Voltron toy until recently. I was never into Voltron, but now I want all the villain toys!).

    4. Absolutely! I traded a Brood figure not to long ago and I had 3 of them out at that point.I dont have a real list of things Im looking for, mostly just strange and unusual is what attracts me.
The crash dummies was an interesting toy line, you never really run across them to much these days. I have a few vehicles to that line an airplane, a big cannon and a yellow car. They are all very beat up.The Toad Croaker is one of my favorites as well along with the Toad Double Bubble, Luckily I still have both of them boxed from the Kaybee toys clearance bins.A while back I was forced to have a toy resellers/ scalper come and go through a lot of my stuff and my Voltron toys were one of the things he swooped up as soon as he saw them, The skull tank and the coffin ships are really great things!

  7. No problem! Im not really a marvel person myself and Im not real familiar with a lot of the characters they are putting out these days so I guess in regards to the Marvel Universe figures we are both pretty much lost lol
