Trash Treasure!

So last Friday I had to go to the post office and the store. When I got to the road  that I go down to get there I was met with a detour sign and forced  to go well out of my way .
On the map above blue is my normal path red was my forced path .On that path  there is a house that sits far back off the road and is really only visible in winter when all the leaves are gone. This house looks a lot like the Adams family house and its one of those places where teenagers dare each other to run up and touch the front door.I had heard many story's about who lived in the house (none of them true) over the years but really I never think about the place at all because 99% of the time I'm going in the opposite direction .So as we drive by this house I see that they have trimmed the tree's and there is a cubic ton of junk/ trash / stuff sitting out right near the road.We drove by and I saw stuff and some of the stuff looked like good stuff so I forced my wife to turn around and pull over .What I thought I saw from the car wasn't what I thought it was but what I didn't see from the car was 2 of the things I have been searching for.. Let me introduce you to Remco Tin Man robot and Mr. Machine!!

come to find out the house had been empty for the last few years and before that an elderly woman had been living there alone for 20 years after the kids moved away and her husband died.In her time alone she became a hoarder who had thrown NOTHING away .I saw many great things but most of it was so nasty I didn't want to touch it or my wife refused to let me put it in the car.A mini man tantrum occurred when I tried to put an incredibly dirty / smelly box of  Major Matt Mason toys in the back seat and she said no and then said no to the trunk and then the back seat again and then threatened to leave me on the side of the road.......anyway I did get to bring these 2 guys home and after a week of cleaning and sanitizing they are fitting right into the Midnight collection!

PS..Got a new camera so no more eye strain from looking at dark pics !

    1. it was a great find. There was a lot of good stuff in thet trash pile but it was mostly ruined from tons of cat waste and water leakage. All the damaged comic books made me a little sad.

    1. I was a little surprised by his size as well,I had only ever saw pictures of him and they didnt do him justice.Tendril is my yardstick when it comes to showing size in pictures.

    1. It was at least 5 bendy guys that I could see and a ton of parts that Im pretty sure where the space station and random stuff that Im not sure what it was(possibly Gijoe stuff but not sure).I didnt really dig into it to deeply because it was all covered newspaper that had denigrated from water and cat waste.I thought I could hose the stuff off in the yard but it really was a smell that makes the eyes water.
