Fun even without a cartoon

I remember ( barely) a time when the toys I picked out didn't need to represent a tv show , movie or comic book character to make me want them. Some of the earliest fond memory's I have are of playing with toys that didn't have a cartoon or movie as a driving force behind them. I didn't care about points of articulation or how easily an item could be displayed or even what that toy would be doing on his evening cartoon episode. These are a few toys I played with as a very young child and had a blast with them even tho they had no cartoon to convince me I needed them.

some of these thing I guess I was given used other where bought for me when I was so young it was like they had always just been there and out of all of them I have none of them in my collection at this point in time. The thing I miss the absolute most is the fuzzy guy right above .His name was slurp and I dragged him around with me everywhere I went for at least the first 5 years of my life then one day I left him on the school bus and I never saw him again and he is imposable to find now.

  1. Wow some of those toys were great. Those lightning strikes twice squirrels are terrific. It's always great when there are great toys that are just toys and nothing else, like the greatness that were Z-Bots!

  2. Zbots are neat ,I bought a coffee can full of them at a church sale and didn't know what they were till I looked them up. The squirrels are Woodseys ,They made 6 sets that where all really great.I never see them in the wild and they sell for top dollar on ebay.
