Bucky O'Hare was one of my favorite short lived cartoon and toy lines. I would love to see these guys make a comeback someday.
When the line was new I had a hard time finding a few of these guys because every store near me that sold them had a ton of the Toad Air Marshall and willy DuWitt but none of the other figures. Its funny that I used to see Willy all over the place but now I dont have a loose copy of him and I dont have Al Negator at all.
I would use the monkey against World War Hulk.
ReplyDeleteI think they are pretty close in size, should be a good fight :)
DeleteThat's funny... Blinky was always the easiest to find back in my days. I don't even have a Toad Air Marshal!
ReplyDeleteEver seen the prototypes for the never-released Series 2? They looked amazing!
Toad Air Marshal was so plentiful that I saw him on clearance a few years after the rest of the line was gone from stores.
DeleteI came vary very close to winning a carded prototype of Rumble Bee about a year ago, The wave 2 stuff is awesome. I wish that the line had lasted long enough to have got those guys to market.
I own all of these but one....The Toad Borg. He is the last one i need to find to finish up with my collection of these.
ReplyDeleteI have a carded one but still need a loose copy.
DeleteAm hunting for a loose one. : )
DeleteIll keep an eye out for two now :)
DeleteYes this was one of my favorite cartoons/toy lines as well. I recently found a copy of the graphic novel written by none other than G.I. Joe scribe Larry Hama! It's a great read. Did you ever play the wonderfully difficult NES game?
ReplyDeleteThat game is nerve racking! Its a like megaman.
DeleteI have half the set carded and tracking a Deadeye Duck as we speak...yeah interesting enough Hasbro completely sank the entire franchise because of their overstock of the air marshall creating poor sales, which shrank demand of a second series (which was already produced and why Jenny, a mass produced series 1 figure, was pushed into wave two to generate interest but didn't get to see the light of day), lack of toy sales directly related into the cancelling of the cartoon series...goddamned Hasbro.
ReplyDeleteStupid air Marshall! I have like 9 of him and only my carded version has his hat.The idea crosses my mind that somewhere there is a huge forgotten stash of unreleased Jenny's waiting to be discovered.
DeleteI loved these! I never collected them because there were no female toys. I do feel like there was a female character though. I dunno, I am just one of those annoying people. lol Nice collection though!
ReplyDeleteThere was a female character named Jenny, They they held her out of wave one then canceled the line :/. A few of her have slipped out over the years but they are crazy expensive. And I dont think you are annoying , you have focus in your collecting ..something that I lack completely lol
